“With work at 24 Queen Avenue now complete, and the redevelopment of number 16 about to begin, we want the third floor roof terrace to become a small, but perfectly-formed homage to the building’s rebirth.”
Colin Sinclair, director of workspace development
To create Liverpool’s smallest terrace and use recycled materials.
The new terrace should be the perfect finish of the two renovated buildings, the icing on the cake, the homage to the rebirth. In other words: the reinvented crown on the structure.
Placing a crown like structure flat on the deck would already be a feature as a deck but overlooking the city from any angle is what you want. What if the deck could be raised to the level of a watching tower?
The 6 sqm roof surface can easily double on the next level to 12 sqm or more. There is also generous space to accommodate a spacious spiral staircase.
